Aims & Scope:
European Journal of Musculoskeletal Diseases is an international peer-reviewed journal focusing on diseases, diagnosis, therapies, rehabilitation, and management of musculoskeletal diseases. Published every four months, it focuses on new discoveries in diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and prosthetic areas of orthopedics, craniofacial, dental, joint, occlusion, muscular, and bone diseases, with sections on basic science, surgery, medical, rehabilitation, prosthesis, and imaging. The single most important criterion for acceptance is scientific excellence. Articles must therefore pose and test a significant hypothesis that will provide novel perspectives and approaches to understanding these topics and stimulate the broad readership of the journal.
EJMD's Open Access Initiative
The advent of online publishing has greatly improved access to scientific content worldwide. This has led to calls from the academic community for research publications to be made freely available online immediately upon publication, without the barrier of paid subscription.
In response to these calls and following consultation with journal contributors, the Editors of EJMD have now launched the Open Access initiative. This means manuscripts submitted and accepted after peer review will be published in EJMD with open access under the CC BY license.
Copyright/Open Access
Published under the subscription model and open access options
In most instances, EJMD makes its content freely viewable and searchable. EJMD grants any third party the right to use most articles freely, as long as its integrity is maintained and its original author, citation details, and journal are identified. However, some articles may require permission to be reused, as determined on a case-by-case basis.
Published under an Open Access Creative Commons license
Manuscripts submitted and accepted after peer review will be published in EJMD with open access under the CC BY 4.0 license. EJMD is not authorized to grant permission for material published under a CC BY license, as the authors retain the copyright. However, depending on the intended use, permission may not be required.
