LAB Publishers recognizes its responsibility to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.
Concerns regarding published articles, including potential errors, ethical issues, or disputes relating to interpretation, may be submitted to the Editorial Office for evaluation. All concerns are assessed by the editorial team and, where appropriate, may involve consultation with reviewers, authors, or relevant institutions.
Where significant errors or issues affecting the reliability, integrity, or clarity of a publication are identified, the journal may issue a formal amendment. Amendments are linked to the original published article and remain part of the permanent publication record.
The journal may publish the following types of notices:
Erratum or Publisher Correction
Issued when a significant error originates from the journal or publisher and affects the publication record, scientific accuracy, or interpretation of the article.
Corrigendum or Author Correction
Issued when a significant error originates from the author(s) and affects the accuracy, integrity, or interpretation of the published work.
Retraction
Issued when the results or conclusions of a published article are determined to be unreliable due to error, misconduct, ethical concerns, duplicate publication, or other serious issues.
Retracted articles remain accessible as part of the scholarly record but are clearly identified as retracted.
Addendum
Issued when additional information relevant to the interpretation or understanding of the article becomes available after publication.
Editorial Expression of Concern
Issued when serious concerns have been raised regarding a publication, but a full investigation or final outcome is still pending.
Editor’s Note
An editorial notice used to inform readers of updates or issues related to a published article where a formal correction or retraction may not be necessary.
Corrections involving non-peer-reviewed content may also be issued at the discretion of the Editors.
Readers who identify a significant error in published material should contact the Editorial Office and provide:
- article title;
- author name(s);
- publication details;
- description of the concern or error.
LAB Publishers follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling corrections, retractions, and publication ethics matters.
