Submission Requirements
The Journal of Orthopedics publishes original clinical and experimental research, review articles, case reports, case series, technical notes, and other contributions relevant to orthopedic surgery, musculoskeletal disorders, trauma, rehabilitation, sports medicine, and related clinical disciplines.
Manuscripts must be written in English and must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

All manuscripts must be accompanied by the required Author Declaration documentation available on the journal website.
The institutional email address of the corresponding author should be provided at the time of submission.
Authorship
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; drafting or critical revision of the manuscript; and approval of the final submitted version.
The journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Any changes to authorship after submission must be approved by all authors and communicated to the Editorial Office with an appropriate explanation.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word, with double-spacing and continuous page numbering.
The title page should include:
- manuscript title;
- full author names;
- institutional affiliations;
- corresponding author contact information;
- keywords.
Original research articles should generally include the following sections:
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Acknowledgements (if applicable)
- Funding
- Conflict of Interest Statement
- References
Review articles, case reports, technical notes, and other article types may follow alternative structures appropriate to the submission category.
Manuscripts describing surgical procedures, implant techniques, rehabilitation protocols, imaging findings, or clinical outcomes should provide sufficient methodological detail to allow reproducibility and critical evaluation.
References
References should be prepared according to AMA (American Medical Association) style and numbered consecutively in the order in which they appear in the text.
Journal titles should be abbreviated according to Index Medicus standards.
Where available, authors are encouraged to include the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for all references.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references.

Figures and Tables
Tables and figures should be cited consecutively within the manuscript.
Figures should be submitted in high-resolution image format suitable for publication.
Clinical photographs and radiological images must be appropriately anonymized.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any previously published material reproduced in the manuscript.
Ethical Requirements
Research involving human participants or animals must comply with recognized ethical standards and applicable institutional requirements.
Manuscripts reporting human or animal studies must include a statement confirming approval by the appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board, where applicable.
For studies involving human participants, informed consent procedures should be clearly stated.
Authors must disclose all conflicts of interest and all sources of funding.
Language Quality
Manuscripts should be written in clear and grammatically correct English.
Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to obtain professional language editing before submission when necessary.
Peer Review
All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
The journal operates a single-blind peer-review process in which reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors.
Editorial decisions are based on:
- scientific quality;
- methodological rigor;
- clinical relevance;
- originality;
- ethical compliance.
The Editor-in-Chief retains final responsibility for all editorial decisions.
Open Access and Publication Fees
The Journal of Orthopedics operates under an open-access publishing model. All published articles are freely accessible online immediately upon publication.
An Article Processing Charge (APC) is payable upon editorial acceptance of the manuscript. Additional information regarding publication fees and licensing is available in the relevant sections of the journal website.
Proofs and Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proof review before publication.
Page proofs will be sent to the corresponding author for final review prior to publication and should be returned promptly.
Published articles receive a DOI and are made freely accessible online immediately upon publication.
