Although medical ozone treatments are becoming increasingly frequent, there is still a lack of information regarding complications or adverse effects. Medical ozone is a valuable therapeutic resource when used appropriately and under the supervision of qualified doctors. It is essential that physicians utilize medical ozone within their respective medical specialties. We must abandon the notion that ozone has no adverse effects or complications. A few cases of complications related to ozone are described in the scientific literature index. Some papers deal with actual complications, but others are biased and misinformed. We have analyzed the most popular and controversial papers to reach a conclusion. It is time for the entire medical community to start sharing their experiences, including both successes and failures.
