Aims & Scope

The European Journal of Musculoskeletal Diseases (EJMD) is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to clinical, surgical, diagnostic, rehabilitative, and translational research in musculoskeletal medicine and related disciplines.

The journal publishes original articles, review articles, case reports, case series, technical notes, and other contributions focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of musculoskeletal diseases and disorders.

Areas of interest include:

  • degenerative, inflammatory, and traumatic disorders;
  • craniofacial, dental, and occlusal disorders related to musculoskeletal function;
  • joint, muscular, connective tissue, and bone diseases;
  • orthopedic and musculoskeletal diseases;
  • prosthetic and biomaterial research;
  • rehabilitation and physical medicine;
  • musculoskeletal imaging and diagnostic techniques;
  • sports medicine and trauma;
  • basic science and translational musculoskeletal research.

The journal includes dedicated sections covering:

  • basic science;
  • surgery;
  • clinical medicine;
  • rehabilitation;
  • prosthetics;
  • imaging.

EJMD welcomes multidisciplinary contributions from orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation specialists, rheumatologists, radiologists, dentists, maxillofacial specialists, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in musculoskeletal health and disease.

Editorial decisions are based on scientific quality, methodological rigor, clinical relevance, originality, and ethical standards.

The journal is published every four months.
