The European Journal of Musculoskeletal Diseases requires authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose any relationships or circumstances that could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, the objectivity of the editorial or publication process.
Potential conflicts of interest may include financial relationships, research funding, consultancies, employment, stock ownership, personal relationships, or institutional affiliations related to the submitted work.
Authors are required to disclose relevant conflicts of interest at the time of submission. Sources of financial support and funding should also be clearly acknowledged within the manuscript.
The existence of a conflict of interest does not necessarily prevent publication. Editorial decisions are based on scientific merit, methodological quality, and clinical relevance.
Editors and reviewers are expected to declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from the evaluation of manuscripts where appropriate.
The journal follows internationally recognized ethical publishing standards and recommendations provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
